Red Witch Empress Deus Chorus Pedal
Red Witch Binary Star Delay Pedal
In the annals of rock history, 2007 marked a seminal year: the monumental reunion of English mega-icons the Police with Sting, Stewart Copeland, and Andy Summers all in tow. During their sold-out world tour, Andy enlisted the Red Witch Empress to administer all of his patented chorus effects onstage. Fast-forward over a decade later, and the Empress Deus Chorus Pedal is here for instant “Message in a Bottle”-inspired sounds with a single stomp. The Deus utilizes the same circuit found in Andy’s original unit, with an all-analog construction and a genuine MN3007 BBD chip to conjure any shade of chorus imaginable. Red Witch took their initial design even further with the Deus, adding a toggle switch to flip over to a darker mode that simulates the high roll-off found in classic chorus pedals.
To give the Deus its wide-ranging chorus capabilities, Red Witch outfitted it with completely analog components. Most importantly, the Deus sports a new-old-stock MN3007 bucket brigade delay chip, which is responsible for its inherently warm and vintage sound that Sweetwater guitarists can’t get enough off. Combining this with the Deus’s one-of-a-kind Voice control expands your sonic options into new territory, altering the delay time and opening the door to craft unique effects.
