2011 Highland Strings (Jason Harshbarger) Orpheus Mandolin w/ OHSC
Adirondack Spruce top, Cherry back and sides, beautiful wood accents throughout. Shell dot inlays, and nice bridge and tailpiece. This mandolin is build in a modern A-Style and is finished in nice nitrolcellulose lacquer. The playability and sound are both excellent on this one. The mandolin is very responsive and resonnant with a clear, warm, and woody voice.
Definitely a bit of playwear and pick marks on the top, including a spot on the top where strumming wore through the finish. Finish on the back of the neck is worn off throughout the middle portions of the neck. Normal nicks and dings in places. Original strap button hole was filled with putty, the strap button was moved to neck heel.
The tuners were changed from what was original to the instrument. Tuners are currently changed to Schaller GrandTune tuners with ebony buttons. Comes with an original well fitting hardshell case.
