The Country Club was one of Gretsch’s first highly popular electrics with quality on par with Falcon’s and 6020s. This 17” Guitar in strong Sunburst shows some playwear on top and sides; the back shows some very light buckle worming when turned into the light, not mint but very nice. Bound F-holes and Fred Gretsch interior label. The original 3-ply binding on top, back, sides and headstock is in excellent condition. “Gretsch” pickguard showing only one small area of discoloration and one small rear screw crack area, the neck pickup retainer ring has one crack. A “G” Tailpiece with Space Control bridge. Patent Applied For Filter ‘Tron humbucker pickups, two G knobs on lower rear bout-one on cutaway bout, two switches on upper bout, all working well. The neck has been likely reset, the fingerboard with thumbprint inlays looks new, original bone nut. T-roof logo on triple bound headstock. Original Grover Imperial Gears. Original case in excellent condition. This is a truly wonderful instrument that plays and sounds great.
