A transition Fender PRO amp. The actual wiring is a hybrid of the tweed 6G5 and the brown 6G5A schematics. The amp has been completely serviced and is operating at the original factory specifications. The tube chart is stamped "JJ" indicating manufacture date of October 1960. Chassis serial number is 01886. Speaker is a Jensen P15N manufactured the 15th week of 1959. Transformers are all original.
This amp sounds wonderful and is very quiet. It has the brown tremolo circuit or what I call the Lawrence Welk bubble sound. In very good cosmetic condition with one slight tear in the front grill. Brown tolex has no tears. Comes with the Victoria cloth cover, also in very good condition. You don't see these for sale very often and this one is a gem.
Service Notes: - Grounded plug added for safety - Power supply filter caps replace with new Sprague Atoms - Rectifier rebuilt to factory specs and with Sprague Atom and Flameproof 2W resistors - Power tubes upgraded to matched Tung Sol 5881 - V1, V2 and V3 cathode bypass caps replace with Sprague Atom - Tone stack replace with modern equivalent parts - Preamp coupling cap replaced with Sozo "Yellow" - A few other parts from old servicing, that were either low quality or incorrect values, were replaced.
