1960s Vox Cougar Bass Model V214
Made in Italy in the mid 1960s S/N 256211. To paraphrase another seller "Vox's come 1 of 2 ways - Good or poor - theres no middle ground. This one is good. There are a few repairs. The ebony board had some cracks which have been filled. The original tailpiece bracket broke and the bracket is a replacement. The back has big parallel checking and there was some finishing lifting on the lower edge. This has been repaired. Otherwise the guitar is all original and plays well. The Vox pickups are not high output by design so you will need to turn up ypu amp. The bass is also a hollowbody so it does feedback at higher volumes. The bass comes with the original Vox case, etched logo Vox bidge cover and 2 original Vox accessory pouches. As and added bonus the bass comes with a fish scale gold strap. A cool package for any collector or player.
