1967 ES-335/345TDC-Cherry with original Lifton Case

A very clean 1967 ES-335 converted to ES-345 at the Gibson factory.  On the label the ES-335TDC was changed to ES-345TDC.  The change has faded with the label so it is assumed original. The bridge was replaced as the original collapsed.  The original bridge is in the case.  This is an unusual piece with ES-335 block markers and a black surround on the var-i-tone switch. We assume the customer wanted a ES-345 and Gibson converted a ES335 to an ES-345 by adding the Vari-Tone circuitry. The guitar was a one owner piece purchased new in 1967.  The is a small repaired chip on the headstock top edge. There are some strap marks in the finish on the top that are very faint.  The guitar overall is in excellent condition with no visible finish checking, and a deep red cherry color.  Frets have a little wear but are in great shape.  No other issues that we can find.  The guitar case is a Lifton with pebble tolex and yellow interior.  The case is very good condition.
