1978 Larrivee L-10 Spruce/Rosewood with Case

Jean-Claude Larrivee and his wife, Wendy, have been building exceptional guitars since 1977. This L-10 Custom acoustic guitar was made in their Victoria, British Columbia shop in Canada in 1978 and is from the first lot of L-10s.  Only the first 150 guitars had Grover Imperial tuners.  This instrument is the Larrivee body shape, a kind of hybrid classical style. It has an Eagle head on the headstock, one of the amazing pieces Wendy designs and inlays by hand, as well as the lovely fingerboard inlays. Solid Sitka Spruce top, Solid Rosewood back and sides, Ebony fingerboard and bridge. The guitar specs include a  25.5" scale, 1 3/4" nut width. Plenty of bass response, but not at the expense of a solid midrange, and clear treble.Super comfortable to play and a wonder at fingerstyle open tunings. Includes Original hard shell case.

This piece has some player wear and a small repaired crack in the side wall.  The projection and sound are what comes with a well made 50 year old instrument.
